Annual Meeting

River Spirit Resort • Tulsa

August 25-27, 2017

We have put together a fantastic list of speakers for the 2017 meeting. Topics include Evaluating the cost and value of selecting Sugammadex in the OR, ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery), Volume Responsiveness, What Can Sleep Tell Us About Safe Surgery and Post-Operative Delirium: Diagnosis, Treatment, Prevention, and Pharmaco-economics.

Ultrasound Workshop

Included in your registration, OSA is offering an Ultrasound Workshop on Sunday morning. This 3-hour workshop provides opportunities for hands-on practice of truncal blocks (transversus abdominis plane (TAP), quadratus lumborum (QL), rectus sheath blocks) and PEC block infiltrative techniques, in addition to infiltrative techniques for knee surgery. This interactive workshop will feature small participant-to-instructor ratios and a customized curriculum focusing on developing hands-on skills. Each technique will be taught by expert instructors using didactic sessions with dynamic multimedia presentations, live demonstrations and guided hands-on live model scanning. The workshop is limited to 50 participants.

The meeting will be held at the River Spirit Resort in Tulsa. Reservations should be made directly with the resort as early as possible. A limited number of rooms have been blocked for the OSA meeting on a first come, first serve basis and will be held no later than July 26, 2017. The discounted rates are $159 for a deluxe room per night. The phone number for the resort is 888-748-3731. For accommodations on the basis of disability, call (405) 412-4137.

Social Events

OSA is offering not one but two social events at this year’s meeting! Saturday afternoon there is a golf tournament at the Flying Tee facility, just blocks from the resort. Saturday evening OSA members and guests can join us for fine dining at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse located inside the resort.
